Green light for next stage of Fig & Wattle mixed-use urban renewal
City of Sydney council has approved Stage 2 plans for Landream’s $900-million 1.2 hectare development at the corner of Fig and Wattle Streets, Pyrmont.
This place has a unique history that offers many layers of inspiration. Our scheme embraces Pyrmont’s history and diverse character through evocative, contemporary architecture and urban design, activating an enticing work-meets-lifestyle hub with open spaces, recreation facilities and family-friendly amenities.

Located opposite Wentworth Park, this landmark project leverages its proximity to Blackwattle Bay and the new Sydney Fish Market
Much of the distinctive sandstone for Sydney’s prominent colonial buildings was quarried from this site. Exposing a 16m high sandstone cliff face reveals the ecological past while landscape design will re-establish connections to Country.
The 14-26 Wattle Street address will be home to four buildings that contribute over 230 high-quality residences with city, water and park views to this city-fringe neighbourhood along with an A-Grade commercial building, childcare facility and City of Sydney-owned recreation centre with two indoor sports courts.
Approval of Fig and Wattle Stage 2 plans is a major step in the transformation of a former industrial site into a lively inner-city community and waterside destination.
Construction is scheduled to commence by the end of 2024.
