Frasers Property Head Office Highly Commended at WAF
Frasers Property Australia Head Office in Rhodes, NSW, has won a High Commendation in the Offices category at INSIDE World Festival of Interiors.
The key driver for the design aligned with Frasers Property's vision: to create places for real people. In this, all of the key business units in the newly refurbished workplace were connected through the central double height 'Town Hall'.
BVN Principal, Ninotschka Titchkosky stated, “Our role is to find an edge for our Clients and to create solutions that pollinate their business with critical enablers to let them thrive in a 21st century innovative ecosystem.” For Frasers Property Head Office, The Cafe, The Lounge, The Steps, terrace, mobile trees, large scale projection screens and large meeting rooms with ‘garage doors’ are all fundamental enablers in this space.
Ninotschka continues: “It is time to move beyond the orthogonal workplace layout to one that reflects the networked nature of contemporary businesses and relationships. Frasers Property’s new workplace is designed to promote overlapped and meshed exchanges between people with blurred boundaries.”
Sharing the commendation in the same category is JC Architecture for Logistic Republic Automation Warehouse Between Machine, Between Human. The overall category winner was Squire and Partners for The Department Store.
Australian architects were well represented in day 1 judging, with Conrad Gargett’s The Piano Mill winning the Culture category of INSIDE, CHROFI with McGregor Coxall winning the Civic and Community category for Maitland Riverlink, as well as presentations from Australian practices Tzannes, Kerstin Thomson, Cavill Architects, Bureau^Proberts, Woods Bagot, Ian Moore Architects, HASSELL with Cox & HKS, Shane Thompson Architects, Silver Thomas Hanley with Bates Smart, John Wardle and Austin Maynard Architects.
