Architecture
The Forgan Smith building west wing has been re-imagined to accommodate the contemporary needs of the TC Beirne School of Law and Walter Harrison Law Library.
The reimagined interior of The Forgan Smith Building's west wing establishes a memorable and enabling setting for the teaching, learning and research of Law.
A new triple-height arrival volume is the heart of the school and underpins the organizational strategy, where circulation through the various parts of the school promotes opportunities for interaction. This memorable room is formed by the surgical extraction of the original fabric and the careful incorporation of new elements. It connects all three of the previously disconnected levels, maximizing the school's porosity and providing memorable navigation and address to all groups.
