Architecture
International Grammar School (IGS) embarked on an exciting journey with BVN to transform its campus.
Leveraging insights from the UTS Architecture Faculty, IGS sought to bring its master plan to life to create spaces that would inspire and engage students and staff.
Over the past few years, we have become integral to this transformation, completing eight distinct projects that have redefined the IGS experience. Among these are the Counsellors Suite and Imaginarium, the Global Learning Centre, The Bibliotheque, the Colleagues Lounge, the Centre for the Dramatic Arts & Year 6 Centre, and the Renaissance Centre.
Our goal was to design calming spaces where teachers and students could learn and study while sparking their imaginations and creativity.
Phillip Rossington, BVN Principal.
At the heart of the campus lies the Bibliotheque, a central library that unites the IGS community. Designed as a retreat, it offers a serene escape, allowing students and staff to immerse themselves in study and reflection. Adjacent to the upper floor is the Colleagues Lounge
The Centre for the Dramatic Arts saw the refurbishment of two levels of an existing warehouse. Once general-purpose classrooms, this space has been transformed into a vibrant hub for IGS’s dramatic arts program.
The recently completed Renaissance Centre is a testament to the school’s commitment to versatile learning environments. This multi-purpose hub features a university-style lecture theatre, meeting rooms, study areas, a dedicated dance studio
Through these projects, we have created a campus that reflects the school’s unique spirit and enhances the educational experience by providing spaces that inspire creativity and foster engagement.
