BVN has worked with Ascham School since 2015 to devise a staged strategy to accommodate the school’s current and future needs. New interventions respect the village scale of the existing school and provide dynamic, engaging and flexible environments for students and staff.

New interventions improve connectivity and accessibility between the older, adjoining buildings and create a more legible, sheltered, safe pedestrian network through the campus.

Shallow floorplates and attenuated mechanical systems allow air to flow through rooms without compromising acoustics between learning spaces.

Comfortable outdoor learning spaces that complement indoor learning spaces encourage students to spill onto balconies and courtyards.
