The Enclave

Buderim, QLD

Completed 2007

The Springs at Buderim comprises a development of thirty seven townhouses, plus parkland and an adjacent local retail centre at Buderim, in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland. The site lies just off the principal corridor linking the growth areas of Sippy Downs Town Centre and the University of the Sunshine Coast, on level ground backing onto bushland forest.

The Enclave introduces the townhouse building type to the area, traditionally a more urban model, to meet demands for housing generated by its growing neighbours.
The development principally comprises two storey three bed houses in four plan configurations, with non standard three storey three bed and two storey two bed models completing the mix. All types include integral garages.

The local retail centre provides accommodation for local shopping, cafes and restaurants within easy reach of both the townhouse site and adjacent developments both existing and planned.

The planning of the site uses an efficient layout around two principal internal streets creating street frontages both inside and outside the site, and a sense of community around communal green space. Careful composition and planning provides texture and richness along streets using the simple modernist house forms as the building blocks of a more complex whole.
